Stephen J. Lepore
My research focuses on the effects of stress on mental and physical health, with an emphasis on how different social contexts and coping processes mitigate or amplify stress effects. A second line of research focuses on cancer prevention and survivorship issues in cancer survivors. We have been developing and testing individual- and group-based interventions to enhance outcomes in people with or at-risk for cancer. A third line of research studies the effects of expressive writing interventions on health outcomes.
